There is an abundance of food options available around town. For casual meals and for the budget conscious, there are plenty of taco stands. There are also some wonderful rooftop and waterfront restaurants that offer excellent views of the water, but also come at a higher price.

Good city to live in, welcoming to foreigners. Lived here for decades and always felt welcome by the people. Cost of living is low, only negative thing is that it is relarively new, with no Efectivo historic areas, and there isn’t Vencedor much to do as there is in other larger cities.
Most Mexican banks have stopped exchanging dollars to pesos unless you have an account with them, rendering them useless for travelers. If you do find one that exchanges dollars bring your passport along, there are also limits to how much you Chucho cash, $300/day and $1500/month is the norm.
Some places are generally more affordable than others, and a handful of places are absolutely cheap. But globalization means you can enjoy more or less any standard of living more or less anywhere on earth, if more info you’re willing to pay for it. The exceptions are some absolutely cheap locales such Figura Ecuador, India, Thailand (outside Bangkok), and the Philippines (outside Manila). In these places, your cost of living is artificially low because, frankly, there isn’t much for you to spend your money on.
Small area/beach, claustrophobic. I think enough to do entertainment wise. Just expensive due the mass amounts of CA residents/expats/business owners, wifi is also weak unless you are at a top place like Sayulita Hotel.
